Continental Resources Senior Electrical Tech (Midland) in Monahans, Texas
Job Summary
This role oversees and coordinates the activities of the contract electricians responsible for executing all electrical work in the field.
Performs a wide variety of tasks; contributes to process improvements. Acts as a resource for team members with less experience. Thorough working knowledge of technical/specialized tasks and responsibilities. Relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine best approach to achieve desired outcomes. Works under general supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prioritize and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of company operated primary and secondary volage electrical systems to ensure that they are performing safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Evaluate and correct system issues at facilities, as well as well sites to ensure continuity of critical operations
Promotes and provides a safe environment as it pertains to all CLR HSE policies.
Performs and coordinates inspections on existing electrical sites to ensure electrical safety/code compliance.
Generates work orders and closes orders as necessary.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of ten (10) years of electrical experience
Texas Journeyman License (TDLR)
Due to the known H2S concentration in our area of Permian operations, Monahan's/Permian Basin field employees are subject to being in our respiratory protection program which will require them to be shaven to the OSHA respiratory protection specifications, complete a medical evaluation and be fit tested annually to the type of respirator that they will be responsible for wearing
Valid Driver’s license with acceptable MVR
An acceptable pre-employment drug screen and background
Preferred Qualifications
Six (6) years of oil and gas experience
Two (2) years of supervisory experience
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for an extended period of time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers.
Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions.
Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance.
Regular bending, crouching, pulling, and kneeling to check equipment and gauges.
Must be able to exert up to 50lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects.
Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities.
Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in the field, hazardous chemicals, and hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required.
